[Right, why would she have any reason to look nervous? It isn't like this is going to wind up hilariously awkward or something. He'll show up about the time they agreed on, still dressed for work, which means a suit. It's sort of evident why he works in the VIP sections: he cleans up very well, it turns out.]

[She does smile, though, and manage to stop leering long enough to be functional.] You--you look good.

Yeah, this is the right place. I just was worried you would have been called away or something.

[He'll sit across from her and smile. With his job, he's kind of used to being leered at. For once it's someone he likes doing it, so this is okay.]

[She rubs at her neck, just a touch fidgety.] I uh, should probably say, it's been a long time since I did this 'dating' thing, I'm pretty out of practice.

It's fine. I just wanted to get something to eat, catch up. We haven't talked face to face since that one night back at the club, soo...

[He chuckles, and looks elsewhere.]

I think it might be contagious.

What's contagious?

[...Give her a second she's kind of horrified he means the mutant thing.]

This is a pretty far cry from our last meeting.

We could find another cry and I could pin you to the wall again, if it'll help.

[Just cheerfully putting that out there!] ...Really, though, I...it'd be nice to talk, and not just catch you trying to pretend you're not staring at me in class.

And all you had to do was pick up the phone. See, was that so hard?

[He'll roll his neck some, toy with the tie but not loosen it.]

So, how have you been? Have things been okay with the others?

It's been...hectic. Most of the jobs lately haven't been, ah, suited to my talents so I've had some time to myself but...that just means I've got classwork to catch up on.

[She toys idly with a strand of hair, twining it around a finger.]

One of them's getting divorced. His wife didn't...well she wasn't happy when she found out. So now he's stuck in a bottle.

That does seem like a hazard of the job. Just because you have to live wit it, doesn't mean that others want to. Still, that's a pret-ty scummy thing to do to someone, don't you agree?

[He sighs.]

So with two of you out, that's what, four remaining? Three? Thankfully things haven't seemed so hectic, of late, on that end.

Four, yeah. [Siiigh.] It's scummy, sure, but it's not like he told her when it happened...He didn't even tell her when she found out, she was at ground zero for an attack...as were their kids. He apparently nearly killed them all on accident. I'd want out, too.

[Oh hey here's a dude with menus let's look at them!] The other four, though...I swear one of them is like a girl version of your brother, the twins might try to fuck a Germ if we'd let them, and the last one's some creep-ass prettyboy who never talks to any of us, just reads and makes sullen faces at us. I'm pretty sure he'd wear my skirts if I didn't have my wardrobe locked.

It's a good thing I dye my hair, is what I'm saying.

Sounds like it's about what I'd expect if you crammed six people into a single apartment and told them what their lives were going to be from then on out. Not that that makes it any easier to live, I'm guessing.

[Looking over the menus, which means he isn't looking at her when he says:]

We could get a hotel room tonight, if you wanted.

No, it doesn't. We've all got our foibles and addictions. Like you, for instance!

[She chuckles.] Which is to say, I like that idea but ask me again after dinner, hmm?

Do the others know about me? Most of them were asleep when I got there and I had to leave pretty early...

[He shrugs.]

Can't blame a guy for trying.

We woke up the twins. [Given that grin, she's not sorry.] But I hadn't decided if they'd all been well-behaved enough for me to actually tell them anything yet.

[She leans forward on the table, chin in her hand.] Which conveniently gives me time to find out just who I'm describing you as.

Well, that's certainly up to you. You've even got a couple names to choose from!

[He laughs a bit at that, and, oh, hey, waiter.]

[Well, yes, let's order. ...Let's order a kind of ridiculous amount of food. Good thing she was clear about going dutch, huh.]

Oh, sure, but it's one thing to be picking from a special friend's names and a boyfriends, you know? I don't want to make any assumptions.

Oh yeah? Assumptions about what, Saori?

[...He's just kind of blinking at that food order a bit. Because damn that's a lot. He probably got like a sandwich or something.]

I told you, Yasuhiro, I'm pretty rusty at this. But I'm pretty sure not everyone considers one hell of a night and a dinner date enough to make that call, and reading minds isn't in my skill set.

[...Which rather implies she's already made her own decision about it, doesn't it.]

It sounds like you already made that call, Saori.

[Just grinning and taking his coffee from the waiter while he waits for a response.]

Hey, it's not every day I tell people about both my old job and my current one and that just seems to interest them more.

[She takes her tea and looks down into it.] It...means a lot, I don't think you really realize how much.

What was I going to do? Walk out on the poor girl who's spilling her heart to me? Ignore all her niceties and everything that came before because she has some issues?

[He grins at her over his cup, leaning in.]

No one's perfect. But you're cute, you're considerate, and you seem like you need someone... why not me?

...Why is it it's only Michio people notice, you're practically the Devil with that silver tongue, Itto Yasuhiro.

[She does lean just that much more forward with a flush and faint grin.] And you learn quickly, too..oh, I have such things to teach you.

For now,let's take it one step at a time, right, Saori? Because I'd hate to see what would happen if we caused a scene in a cafe as nice as this.

[He'll just be taking his sandwich from the waiter, who is wondering why he had to get this table out of all of them.]
